هدف البحث  الحالي إلى التعرف على عوامل  الهزيمة النفسية  في ضوء بعض المتغيرات الديموغرافية (النوع - الفرقة) لدى طلاب المرحلة الثانوية واستخدمت الباحثة المنهج الوصفي المقارن ، وتمثلت أدوات الدراسة فى  مقياس الهزيمة النفسية (إعداد الباحثة) وتم تطبيقه على عينة مكونة من (580) طالب وطالبة من طلاب المرحلة الثانوية  بالفرق الدراسية الثلاثة ( الأولى- الثانية - الثالثة ) .  تراوحت أعمارهم بين(16- 18) سنة  بمتوسط (17) سنة  وانحراف معياري(0.813)  بواقع 290 ذكور - 290 إناث ، وأسفرت نتائج البحث عن وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين الذكور والإناث  على مقياس الهزيمة النفسية بأبعاده الثلاثة فى اتجاه الذكور وهذا يعنى  أن الذكور أكثر هزيمة نفسية من الإناث . وعدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسطات درجات طلاب المرحلة الثانوية على مقياس الهزيمة النفسية تعزى للفرقة الدراسية ( الأولى/ الثانية/ الثالثة) فى العوامل الاستسلام  النفسي والعجز وقلة الحيلة .كما توجد  فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية فى مستوى الهزيمة النفسية لدى طلاب المرحلة الثانوية في عامل انخفاض فاعلية الذات .كما توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسطات درجات الطلاب على مقياس الهزيمة النفسية تعزى للتفاعل الثنائي بين النوع (ذكر/ أنثى) والفرقة الدراسية ( أولى/ثانية/ ثالثة) فى العوامل (الاستسلام النفسي، العجز وقلة الحيلة،  انخفاض فاعلية الذات) .وفى نهاية الدراسة تم تقديم مجموعة من التوصيات.   
The current study aimed to identify the factors of psychological defeat in light of certain demographic variables (gender and grade level) among secondary school students. The researcher employed the comparative descriptive approach, utilizing the Psychological Defeat Scale (developed by the researcher) as the primary study instrument. The scale was administered to a sample of 580 secondary school students across the three grade levels (first, second, and third year), aged between 16 and 18 years (with a mean age of 17 years and a standard deviation of 0.813). The sample consisted of 290 male and 290 female students.
The study findings revealed statistically significant differences between males and females on the Psychological Defeat Scale and its three dimensions, favoring males, indicating that male students exhibit higher levels of psychological defeat than females. However, no statistically significant differences were found among students across different grade levels (first, second, and third year) concerning the factors of psychological surrender, helplessness, and powerlessness. Nevertheless, statistically significant differences were observed in self-efficacy reduction, suggesting that grade level has an impact on this particular aspect of psychological defeat.
Furthermore, the results indicated statistically significant differences in psychological defeat levels due to the interaction between gender (male/female) and grade level (first/second/third year) across all three dimensions: psychological surrender, helplessness and powerlessness, and self-efficacy reduction.
At the end of the study, a set of recommendations was provided based on the findings.
