تعتبر مرحلة انتقال الطالب / المعلم من مرحلة طالب بكليات التربية إلى معلم ممارس مسئول عن حصص ومقررات ويواجه مشكلات مهنية مرحلة هامة في حياة المعلم؛ ليتقرر بعدها صلاحيته لممارسة مهنة التدريس حتى لا تصبح المهنة لكل من يريد ولكن تصبح فقط لمن يستطيع إذا كنا نرغب في تعليم عالي الجودة. وتتحدد مشكلة الدراسة في كيفية علاج نواحي القصور في التربية العملية في كليات التربية بمصر بتطبيق نظام فترة الامتياز؛ لتحقيق الجودة في أداء المعلمين الجدد في المدارس المصرية على ضوء خبرات الدول الأجنبية المطبقة لهذا النظام. ويتبع البحث الحالي المنهج الوصفي: لوصف وتحليل ومعرفة أوجه الاختلاف و الاتفاق بين الدول الأجنبية في مجال تطبيق نظام الفترة التكميلية، وتوصلت الدراسة إلي نظام مقترح لتطبيق نظام تكميلي للإعداد العملي للطلاب/المعلمين.
