هدفت الدراسة تقديم تصور مقترح لاستقلالية الجامعات السعودية لتحقيق الميزة التنافسية في ضوء الخبرات الأمريکية والبريطانية، ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة تم استخدام المنهج الوصفي، وتم الاعتماد على الاستبانة في جمع البيانات، وطبقت الدراسة على عينة بلغت (56) خبيرا أکاديمياً، وتوصلت الدراسة إلى النتائج التالية: تمثلت أبعاد استقلالية الجامعات في البعد الإداري والبعد المالي والبعد الأکاديمي، وأـن درجة أهميتها في تحقيق الميزة التنافسية من وجهة نظر أفراد الدراسة جاءت المرتفعة، أن الصعوبات التي تواجه استقلالية الجامعات لتحقيق الميزة التنافسية جاء مرتفعة، وأن موافقة أفراد عينة الدراسة على مقترحات تفعيل استقلالية الجامعات لتحقيق الميزة التنافسية جاءت مرتفعة، واخُتتمتْ الدراسة بتقديم تصور مقترح لاستقلالية الجامعات السعودية لتحقيق الميزة التنافسية في ضوء الخبرات الأمريکية والبريطانية، تضمن المنطلقات، والأهداف، والمتطلبات، ومراحل التنفيذ، والصعوبات، والتقويم.
The study aimed to present a proposed vision for the independence of Saudi universities to achieve competitive advantage in the light of American and British experiences. To achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive approach was used, and the questionnaire was relied on in collecting data. The study was applied to a sample of (56) academic experts, and the study reached the following results: The dimensions of the independence of universities were represented in the administrative dimension, the financial dimension and the academic dimension, and that the degree of their importance in achieving competitive advantage from the point of view of the study members was high, that the difficulties facing the independence of universities to achieve competitive advantage came high, and that the approval of the study sample members on proposals to activate the independence of universities to achieve The competitive advantage was high. The study concluded by presenting a proposed vision for the independence of Saudi universities to achieve competitive advantage in the light of American and British experiences, including premises, objectives, requirements, implementation stages, difficulties, and evaluation.
